About Me
I initially became a celebrant so that when my friends got married they could have someone who cares about them create a personal and meaningful ceremony. If you don’t have a friend who is a celebrant, I think that you need a celebrant who you would want to have a glass of wine with, not someone you had to have because they were your mum’s favourite minister.
I pride myself on getting to know the couple who I officiate for and telling their story. It’s important that your ceremony reflects what is unique about your relationship, your sense of humour, and is a special time for you to commit to each other in the presence of those you hold most dear. Although you are making a serious commitment, a good ceremony should make you laugh and cry. I want to get to know you and celebrate this special day too.
Wedding planning can be overwhelming and stressful, so my job is to make sure that the ceremony is the part that you don’t have to worry about at all. Even a howling Wellington wind won’t stop me from being the best celebrant for you (I may just need a few more bobby pins).
